FAQs

The Creative Immersion is designed for learners aged 13 and above. There is no upper age limit - curiosity is the only requirement!

No prior experience is necessary. The program is designed as a foundational launchpad, introducing students to creative and technical skills from the ground up — from critical listening and storytelling to industry-standard software.

The program runs over approximately 3 months and totals 86 hours of learning. It is divided into two parts: Part 1 is an online Skill Building phase, and Part 2 is a 7-day in-person Studio Residency at Fieldworks Studios in Goa.

Part 1 involves two online sessions per week, each 75 minutes long, totalling approximately 2.5 hours per week. A detailed session schedule will be shared prior to the start of the program, offering maximum visibility to plan ahead.

Part 1 covers two tracks - Music Production and Filmmaking/Video Editing. The modules include all the foundational principles of music and filmmaking as well as a comprehensive introduction to industry-standard software tools. Students also work with our mentors to conceptualise and develop their individual projects before the in-person phase.

Students will work with industry-standard tools including Ableton Live for music production, DaVinci Resolve for video editing and a selection of Mobile apps. The program also introduces AI tools relevant to both music and video production.

The online sessions are live and cohort-based, meaning students learn together in real time with their peers and mentors, including a 15 minute live Q&As in every session. We will also record the sessions, so students will be able to catch up in case of missed sessions. However, we do recommend maximum attendance of the online sessions so students can build a rapport with and seek clarifications from their mentors and peers.

A 4:1 mentoring ratio means there is one mentor for every four students, ensuring a high level of personal attention and support throughout the program. Students also receive individual monthly one-on-one check-ins with their mentor to track progress and address any specific needs. We also offer the option of scheduling 1-on-1 calls, as needed, at no extra charge during the Online Learning phase.

The 7-day residential program takes place at Fieldworks Studios in Goa from 6 -12 July 2026. Students design and build an individual creative project of their choosing - such as an original song, a short film, a music video, a podcast, or an audiovisual artwork - with hands-on mentoring throughout. The week culminates in a Final Showcase or Exhibition of student work. A typical day during the residency looks like: 9:30-10am: Day begins at Fieldworks Studio 10am-12noon: Lecture on a variety of topics 12noon - 1pm: Students break out to work on individual projects 1pm - 2pm: Lunch break (Healthy, vegetarian, home cooked meals will be provided by Fieldworks) 2pm - 4pm: Students work on individual projects with mentor guidance. 4pm: Snack Break (Snacks provided by Fieldworks) 4pm - 6pm: Students work on individual projects with mentor guidance.

For pricing related questions, please contact our team at info@fieldworks.in or +919209620214 (Whatsapp).

Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the program, stating their successful completion of the Creative Immersion program, along with details of their project.

At the end of the Studio Residency, students will perform or present the individual project they have developed over the course of the program in an open-to-public event held at an intimate venue in Goa. Friends & family are invited to join, as are the extended Fieldworks community in Goa.

The Creative Immersion equips students with foundational skills in music production and filmmaking using industry-standard tools, giving them a strong base to pursue further specialised learning, creative side projects, or eventually professional pathways in the music, film, or digital content industries. Beyond career skills, the program is designed to build creative confidence, problem-solving ability, and a healthy, active relationship with technology.

The short answer is: there has never been a better time to be a young creative in India. India's creator economy is currently valued at USD 1.4 billion and is projected to grow at 22.2% annually, reaching USD 5.9 billion in the coming years. 1 in 4 young Indians now prefer new-age fields like content creation over traditional career paths. At the policy level, the Union Budget 2026 marked a meaningful milestone, with the government formally recognising creative and digital media education as essential to India's economic future. The earning pathways are real and varied. A young person who develops hard creative skills today is building a toolkit that can serve them across a lifetime of self-determined work, collaborations, and creative entrepreneurship, with the independence and flexibility not offered by traditional career paths.
